Please, please, PLEASE keep them rear-facing!!! At least, until they're two!!
They're really is NO excuse not to keep a child rear-facing. I understand that it's not the law to keep them in this position after they're a year old, but if it's safer to keep them that way, why not?! AND, for those people who think that SUVS are "safer" than regular cars, well, why wouldn't you keep your child rear-facing longer?? Afterall, it's SAFER!!!!!! Please, spread the word!!
Lastly, here's a link to a photo gallery, which shows kids as old as 4 yrs old in the rear-facing position!!

Austin's rear-facing and will be till 2. He doesn't mind as long as he can look out and I don't give him an option. Momma ALWAYS wins :)
