It's beginning to feel a lot like...

SUMMER!!! I can't believe how hot it was this weekend. It was a scorching 99 degrees today!

We spent Saturday morning cleaning up around the house, until we realized how incredibly beautiful the weather was. We decided to save our chores for another day, and venture on outside to enjoy some sunshine! We headed out to Corona to spend a few hours at Tom's Farm. We didn't realize how unbelievably hot it was gonna be out there, but we made the best of it. Dakota didn't seem to mind all that much. She was too busy riding the carousel, train and horses, as well as harrassing the animals at the petting zoo.

Taking a ride on the choo choo!!

Our little cowgirl ridin' a horsie!

Petting the pets at the petting zoo! LOL

As you can see, Dakota had a blast! After Tom's Farm, we headed over to Uncle Matt's house to watch UFC. The cousins got to play outside together for a little bit, which was fun to watch. Dakota of course enjoyed climbing all over her cousin's play climber. She got a little carried a way at one point and scraped her knee. Yep, she got her first skinned knee and not a whimper out of her. She's a tough girl! Here's her owwiee:

Today we decided to hang out at home and let Dakota play in the water. We brought her little swimming pool out, filled it with frigid hose water, dumped some bath toys in it, and proceeded to watch our water baby take the plunge.

Kevin and I just sat back in our garage while listenening to some good music, and let Dakota run wild. I have to admit, I got a little jealous watching her run her little heart out through the Spongebob sprinkler and gather buckets of water to give the whole driveway a bath. It feels like it was just the other day that I was enjoying the hot summer months. I remember running through my own sprinklers, diving head first onto the slip n' slide, and playing Marco Polo at a friends pool. Watching my little girl enjoy her childhood brought back so many fond memories, and it brought me so much joy knowing that she is, and will be creating some of her own wonderful memories. God knows she has plenty of pictures to help her remember if some of those memories start to fade one day. Here are a few more pictures of Dakota enjoying some fun in the sun!!

Seriously, could this kid get any happier?

The happiest kid on the block!!

Of course, I can't leave out the videos. So here's our silly goose...
