First Class Traveler...

Dakota did exceptionally well on her very first flight! All that obsessing and worrying over how she would do, for nothing! I even took other moms' advice and bought her several new $1 toys from the Dollar Tree to keep her preoccupied during the 3 1/2 hour flight, which she was barely interested in. We definitely weren't keen on the advice of medicating her with Benadryl to make her drowsy. It's just not something we have ever been comfortable doing to our child. I think the 3:30am wake-up call was enough to keep her energy levels at bay.

We got to the airport about an hour early and sat around waiting to board the plane.

Then, I figured it might be a good idea to let Dakota run her little heart out, since she'd be stuck on our laps for a few hours. Well, she ran right up to the terminal window and watched the airplanes taxi in and out for about 30 minutes...

Anyway, Dakota was just the best little traveler and so well-behaved. I felt bad for the two sets of parents sitting around us as they dealt with their tantruming toddlers. Dakota was just happy as can be...

sittin' on our laps...

reading up on the safety procedures...

peering out the airplane window...

taking a little snooze...

playing with her stickers...

and, enjoying some refreshing juice...

And that's pretty much what she did the entire flight, and we didn't hear a peep outta her. PHEW!!!

Isn't it amazing. We worry and fret and they blow us away by how well they do!! I'm glad she did great. I love the travelin' outfit for her. Too cute!
