Montana...Day 5

We woke up to a thunderstorm today. Can you believe it? All this wonderful 90 degree, sunshine and blue sky weather. Then to wake up to downpour?! It didn't last very long, and apparently it's more common than one would think. It didn't rain on our plans though!!

We decided to head into Libby to do a little shopping at some of the super cute shops. I loaded up on some goodies, as did Grandma. The guys were just happy to see us heading for the door.

Then, off we headed to Libby Dam. Once there, we walked around a bit and took some pictures of the pretty scenery. The lake was quite a sight. Dakota loved looking down at the water then running off to stomp in some puddles.

We then headed for the visitor center. She had to check out the visitor information board first.

The visitor center had a lot of exhibits and displays, which Dakota got a kick out of...

She ran up to the fish and did her best impression...

Pretended she was a trout with mommy...

Quacked like a duck, and roared like some of the animals on display...

Drove the steamboat for a few...

Cranked the wheel to make power...

Spun the wheel of knowledge...

We then took a tour of the dam, which was just so neat. Unfortunately, cameras weren't allowed, so I have no pictures to show for. The Libby Dam reminded me a lot of the Hoover Dam, since it's not some dinky little dam you might find in Southen California. As we walked along, we saw several bald Eagles, which was just the coolest thing. You don't see that every day. Well, at least not in the OC.

After the dam tour, with the dam tour guide (LOL), we drove over to a playground nearby. We ran into some people that Grandma and Grandpa knew, which was Dakota's lucky day because they had a grandson who was just smitten over her.

He was such a lover and kept giving her hugs and kisses. It was the sweetest thing I had ever seen!! Finally, Dakota found a friend that loved giving hugs just as much as she did. He kept following her around wherever she went. I'm pretty sure she was playing hard to get. She got a little sassy and started ordering him around. He went for it, which was so stinkin cute!

Once the lovefest had ended, Dakota was all over the playground like a monkey. She was walking up the slide and across the bridge, then through the tunnels, and back down the slide. Her nickname should be flash.

Grandma even got up on the playground with her and they played together...

Then it was off to the swing. She loves when daddy pushes her...

I think the funniest thing was when Dakota discovered the mirror and stood in front of it for several minutes. She was being so darn silly. The biggest crack up came when she decided to lift up her shirt, turn sideways, and suck in her tummy. No joke, this is what she did. I really wish I had it on video, but I have a few good pictures that shows just what I described. I really don't know where she got that from. I swear I don't do it. Maybe daddy?? Afterall, he has lost some weight....HAHAHA!!!

Here are some more pictures from our day...

What a great time!!! I wish our trip wasn't already 1/2 way over....sniff!!!
