Montana....Day 9

On our last full day, we visited the Kootenai River Falls, which is my favorite!! It's breathtaking and just really neat!! It's actually where the River Wild was filmed.

Anyway, we hoofed it down to the falls, which is an enjoyable and scenic hike through the lush green forest. We made several stops here and there to look at different things and take some pictures. We let Dakota do a little exploring, which she appreciated. She's always happy to run free!

Dakota had her own agenda...

At the falls...

Hitchin' a ride with good ole Grandpa...

We then took a drive to the river walk, which is a dirt path along one of the calmer parts of the Kootenai River. We kept Dakota strapped into her stroller, as it was the safest place for her to be, and she was also a bit tired. Along the way, we actually got to see a bald eagle, as well as a golden eagle. What are the chances?! We were very fortunate, that's for sure.

Such an awesome sight!

After our walk, we had lunch in Libby, then headed back home. The weather was nice enough to go for a swim in the lake one last time. Daddy was the first to take the plunge. Grandma, Dakota, and I took the boat out for a few, but eventually made our way back to the dock to take a dip...

Enjoying their last swim in the lake...

Dakota being silly with Grandpa's hat...

Daddy givin' a thumbs up. He must have thought I was getting him a beer...HA!
